JEREMY SCOTT web video thingy… Dir. NABIL from nabil elderkin on Vimeo.
This got played by a Funkin Motherfunker goes by the name of Mr. Chex @ Funk Royale Friday just gone. I might not have even noticed if it wasn’t for me fallin in love with Mike Dunn’s Phreaky Motherfucker track that I cant stop playing. Get to know.
Had my first dig today. If you don’t know what that means the clip below will explain. If you do know what that means watch and listen carefully.
Spent the evening last night at Riverside Studios witnessing original footage and recordings from Zaire 74. A three day festival held in conjunction with the boxing match known as ‘The Rumble In The Jungle’ and more importantly to address the relationship between African American and African people.
Soul Power is Jeff Levy-Hinte’s documentary of the festival. From the headliners to the local musicians to rehearsals to the classic bureaucracy of management this is a honest and raw portrayal of the event and its purpose.
I would highly recommend you take the time.

This Sunday I spent a hot summers night downstairs at Plastic People. I went in with hair did in a down style, mat(ish) skin and came out with an up do, glowing skin and a bass beam on my face.
After missing out on the Brainfeeder event at the beginning of the summer and suffering the day after with live voicemail’s from the night and the stories being told, I could not turn down the opportunity to hear the much talked about Gaslamp Killer on the boombox that is Plastic People.
Not even the damp tinge of Croydon boy’s stopped me from standing my ground up the front. It was an energetic performance not to be missed. For a taste of what you missed check this youtube clip of Gaslamp Killer’s set at Sonar 2009.
